I don't have any deep, profound philosophies about photography but I do have pure passion for this art form & take delight in the beauty of pretty much everything in this world. Yes, I'm that person who is always taking pictures of whatever catches my eye everywhere I go & I'm pretty unapologetic about it. I do feel that most people are too caught up in their busy lives to slow down & appreciate the little things, whether it's the smile of a stranger, the unusual shape of a cloud in the sky or a special moment of joy & excitement.
Although I've listed a selection of categories under my portfolio, I am not limited to shooting only these subjects so feel free to get in touch with me to discuss your specific photographic requirements
Location & Preferences
I am a Freelance Photographer & shoot on location, either indoors or outdoors, in Durban, Cape Town & Internationally.
The best locations are ones that offer tons of natural light & as little distraction from the outside world as possible. The best shooting times for outdoor shoots, mainly for portraits & landscape photography, is golden hour, both in the morning & evening. In the morning, this is the hour just after sunrise & in the evening, the hour just before sunset. During these time frames, the light from the sun is softer & more golden(hence the phrase), creating a more flattering effect on the skin than the harsh sunlight during the middle of the day. Indoor shoots are less restricted to these times & rely on a combination of the natural light coming in from outside & the artificial lighting from indoor lights & the camera flash.
I also travel to select international destinations upon request & offer all the services listed here as well as travel, holiday, landscape & street photography.
